Why Is My Karma Bad? How to Change Your Luck For the Better Forever!

April 30, 2012 in Astrology

Why is my karma so bad? Why do I seem to have a perpetual plate of bad luck that never seems to go away? Did I do something wrong in a previous life? Or, am I doing the wrong things in this one, and simply don’t know any better? Why do SO many other people keep getting things to fall their way… when for me, nothing ever works out quite as well as planned? In this article we are going to take a quick and easy look at how to change your luck (or karma, in my language) for the better… and answer some common questions about WHY things happen the way they do, from an astrological or big picture perspective. Curious to know more? Continue reading as we take a closer look below!

Why is my karma bad? Is it the result of things I’ve done in a past life that I don’t remember?

Good question, and one that is hard to answer honestly as well. If you subscribe to the idea of “evolving” cause and effect, the actions you do in one life continue to have consequences in the next. So, while most of us only really remember the “current” lifetime we’re in, and can only try to understand our luck from the vantage point of recent actions, in reality, the BIG picture is way beyond what you can remember.

For example?

I like to think of life as a continuous string of unique experiences that aren’t limited by time, space or any given “personality” that we have for a fixed period of years. For example, I truly believe that the REAL “You” is a timeless, eternal energy body that is much MORE than the physical shell you occupy for a slender shred of time (and that most of us think of as our true selves).

In other words…

Each life “here” is designed to teach us lessons, to give us experiences, and an education that is essential to our spiritual development, and to the growth of our authentic self in the world (or worlds) that await.

Your karma, therefore… is NEVER good or bad per se.

Rather, it’s a compendium of learning opportunities, and what you choose to take away from them.

In some respect, and I know all of the above is controversial and hard for many to believe… but I truly believe that there is NO bad, or good karma at all. From the highest UNIVERSAL perspective, things just “are” the way they are. The only judgements are insofar as what you take away from each experience, each lifetime, and each relationship that is crucial to your spiritual development.

The KEY to changing your karma from one of hard luck to one of enduring optimism and opportunity?

One word: AWARENESS. Being aware that you are not “stuck” in this life, or in this body, or in this family, or whatever set of circumstances you see as trapping you, or keeping you down.

Being aware that you are a timeless soul who is loved, and watched, and cared for by a benevolent Spirit that is woven into the fabric of the Universe, is empowering, liberating and incredibly freeing as well.

It sounds silly to some, to simple to others, but in reality, it really is that easy.

You are bigger than your body. Larger than one lifetime. And the lessons you are here to learn are part of the package you picked… when the Universe placed you back here to experience them.

Each life is like a little chapter in the big book that is you.

If you want your luck to change, wake UP, get your pen out and start re-writing yours with kindness, love and a spirit of gratitude, and it will… I promise, starting today!

Past Life Answers – How Can I Tell If I’ve Lived Before? (The Easiest Way to Get Proof)

April 30, 2012 in Astrology

Are past lives real? And if they are, do we keep coming back with the same group of souls? What about spiritual partners or soul mates? Do they exist….and if so, where is MINE? In this article we are going to take a quick and easy look at some common questions about past lives, and whether or not the people you come BACK with are the same lifetime to lifetime. Curious to know more? Continue reading as we take a closer look below.

Do the same people come back together… or is each individual on their own?

Good question, and one that comes up more than just about any other there is! Why? Because at our core, I truly believe that each of us realizes that the only real benefit of “coming back” is to continue to grow, develop and nurture relationships with those that we love. The GOOD news? It appears that not only do we have individual soul mates, we also have extended “soul groups” as well. (larger collections of family and friends that “seem” to choose to incarnate together over many lifetimes)

Is this a new age idea that simply sounds good… or is there any real SCIENCE that supports it?

Another great question. The truth is, there are 2 ways to prove that you have lived a past life, and that there are in fact, soul mates that keep coming back to join you in the adventure.

The first way is through your own personal experience. What you feel, think and how you relate to the people in your life that you know, and meet. Many of us, for example, have met people we KNOW right away we feel an incredible connection to, and have deep feelings that transcend what could be considered ordinary. Others (myself included) have had deja vu experience, or actual MEMORIES of being with people that we KNOW emanate from a different lifetime. (this is very common in dreams, where you vividly remember experiencing something with someone specific… although in the dream they are “not” the person you know now, even though you are sure that they are!)

The second way to “prove” past lives and soul-mates are real?

Time tested techniques like hypnosis, past life regression, mediation and guided visualization exercises, and of course, astrology, and personal horoscopes for karma and spiritual development. And while these may sound very new age to some… the truth is, in the last 10 years, there has been an explosion of attention to memories of previous lifetimes that have PROVEN to be true. (most commonly by small children who have accurately reported on details of lifetimes that would be impossible for them to have known on their own)

At the end of the day, the only way to get “proof” you’ve lived before, is to actually seek out the evidence, and go where it takes you. Any of the above approaches are easy, affordable and work wonderfully well for all!

Will Remembering My Past Lives Help? How Understanding Your Karma Can Change Your Life Forever

April 30, 2012 in Astrology

Will exploring my past lives help me in this one? If so… HOW? And how do I know my past life memories aren’t simply figments of an overactive imagination, rather than genuine recollections of a life I’ve lived before? In this article we are going to take a quick and easy look at a few common questions regarding past lives, and the therapeutic benefits that exploring these memories can have on your current life… starting right now. Curious to know more? Continue reading as we take a closer look below.

What are the reasons that people decide to explore their past lives in the first place? Curiosity? Or, is it simply the byproduct of having too much time on their hands?

Good question, and believe it or not… a pretty easy one to answer as well! The truth is, people who tend to explore their memories of a previous lifetime usually do it for one of the following reasons.

1 – A recurring problem or issue that won’t seem to get “fixed” (this can be anything from recurring difficulty in relationships, to a substance abuse problem, to anything that keeps your “karma” repeating itself in a negative or destructive way)

2 – An “itch” about your life, or your life’s “purpose” that can’t seem to get scratched through traditional means, e.g. – you simply DON’T feel fulfilled, and feel something is missing… even though on the surface, things look really good!

3 – A deep curiosity about the meaning of life, our place within it, and what happens to us when this life is done. (many people turn to new age concepts, religious conviction, or begin a spiritual journey that leads to questions of karma, and afterlife ideas, on this basis alone)

The truth is, while reincarnation, or the idea that we each have many lives in different bodies, may SEEM like an exotic idea in our Westernized culture, in reality, much of the world’s population already believes it to be true!

And believe it or not, people who look at life through the prism of the possibility, and understand that THIS life isn’t all there is… tend to be happier, healthier and more hopeful as well. (as those of us who don’t believe life ends at death, have a lot more to look forward to than the short time we get here)

Speaking from personal experience, the 2 biggest benefits I’ve gotten, and witnessed, from past life readings, and therapies are these:

1 – The knowledge that we are MUCH more than physical bodies alone. As a matter of fact, the idea that we are infinite and immortal spiritual beings, having a very temporary physical experience now feels much more likely to me, rather than the reverse. (which is how I used to look at life… which was a bit depressing as well)

2 – The knowledge that those who we love MOST in this life… most likely have chosen to “return” to be with us, again! As a matter of fact, the “karma of connection”, or the idea that a bit part of the reason we reincarnate is to live, love and learn with the same soul group is a HUGE lesson, and truism that most of us have come to know is true… and that makes all problems, especially with those you love most, MUCH easier to understand. (and overcome as well)

All of this sound too new age for you to believe? I don’t blame you! It wasn’t until I had my first “karma” reading with a certified astrologer did I start down this path… and slowly but surely, over time, I’ve discovered my own “truth”, as too will YOU! (if of course, you are curious, and courageous enough to find out for sure)

Who Was I in My Past Life? Simple Techniques for Remembering Past Lives That WILL Blow Your Mind

April 30, 2012 in Astrology

Who was I in my past life? Was I rich? Famous? A superstar celebrity… or just an ordinary Joe or Jane? And how can I tell if my memories are real, or just figments of my overactive imagination?

The good news is, there are LOTS of great ways to remember your previous lives that are fun, easy and quite mind blowing to boot.

For example?

Past life psychic readings are a GREAT (and affordable) way to get first hand evidence you’ve lived before, without doing anything weird.

Hypnosis, regression or seeing a therapist who specializes in exploring previous “incarnations”, or memories that precede your current one would obviously be another.

Another great technique that most folks will NEVER try is exploring your own memories through meditation, visualization and simply practicing detaching yourself from your current personality, and seeing what appears when your “Ego” is no longer running the show. (it takes practice to do this of course, but you CAN learn how simply through guided meditations that are available online, or by visiting a licensed professional who specializes in spiritual exercises)

Tarot readings represent another unique approach that differs from the above as well, and actually incorporates symbols that can “jar” and uncover new memories that may be repressed as well.

Astrology, and personalized horoscopes that focus on your super specific birth chart and circumstances is another very popular way to explore the “karma” of your current incarnation, and see how choices you may have made in a previous life are impacting you presently in this one.

As a matter of fact, you can explore these sorts of ideas in great detail through instructional seminars and “New Age” meet ups, which I’ve recently begun exploring myself. (and are not only a ton of fun and very revealing….but a great way to meet other like minded people who share an interest in esoteric ideas that maybe your friends and family don’t quite share!)

Lastly, try to test SEVERAL of the above approaches rather than putting all of your proverbial previous life memories in one basket. Why? Because you’ll get FAR more confirmation value from having several qualified “lines” of evidence, than you can possibly get from one alone. In other words, past life memories that are validated by a personal horoscope, or tarot reading, or regression session are going to be FAR more evidential than one type of evidence alone!

Past Life Questions: How Can I Tell If My Memories of a Past Life Are Real or JUST My Imagination?

April 30, 2012 in Astrology

Who was I in a past life? Are my memories of another lifetime real, or are they simply the byproduct of wishful thinking, or an overactive imagination? And why do so many memories seem so clear….while others are fuzzy, hazy and hard to remember? In this article we are going to take a quick and easy look at some common questions about past lives, and the simple truth about the idea of karma that everyone really should learn BEFORE it’s too late. (or at least too late in THIS lifetime!) Curious to know more? Let’s take a closer look immediately below.

How common are past life memories, anyway? Do most people have them, or only a select few like me?

Good question! The truth is, past life memories are very, very common. And while many people won’t recognize a certain memory as emanating from a past life, there are certainly a whole host of mysterious memories that many of us have that CANT’ be attributed to something we’ve encountered in this one.

For example?

Deja vu is probably the most culturally common one. The feeling of having been somewhere before, or having met someone before, even though you know neither of the 2 are true. Having a skill, talent or even an interest in something that doesn’t’ seem to “jive” with the rest of your life experience is another common trait that many folks who recall past lives seem to share as well. Lastly, being super GOOD at something from a very young age is another, such as playing a musical instrument, while having vague memories, or a strange familiarity with the skill, even though you know you don’t have any recall of doing it before. (art, music, math, and all sorts of other creative abilities are often studied by scientists who believe those things can continue from lifetime to lifetime)

Why aren’t my past life memories more clear?

Another good question, and one that there are lots of different theories for. Some believe that we aren’t MEANT to remember things that happened in a past life. Others believe we are, but that we need a nudge in the right direction to be able to do so, and that once we “practice”, our past life recall improves in dramatic fashion.

What are some good techniques for remembering my past lives?

Hypnosis is definitely one that is very popular, and something that’s been written about extensively. (although it remains a bit controversial EVEN amongst those of us who believe in past lives, simply because it’s hard to know whether hypnosis may create false memories, rather than helping recover real ones)

Past life regression is a form of hypnosis, and can be very powerful as well, especially in the hands of someone who specializes in past life recall. (while remaining a bit controversial for the same reasons stated above)

Meditation and guided visualization is very effective. I’ve done this as recently as last night, and it simply involves relaxation and letting a gentle recorded “voice” bring you back to the place where your memories began. (many people enjoy this exercise from home……the only downside is, it takes a lot of follow up work, and a lot of self discipline to really get results)

Lastly, astrological readings, horoscopes for past lives, and tarot readings specifically are all very good aids in helping ordinary people recall extraordinary memories from past lives, and learn how to apply those lessons into your current one. I’ve been a big fan of this approach for a decade, and it remains one of the easiest (and most affordable) ways to get involved in remembering your own lives that there is.

Remember –
Discovering the TRUTH about your own past life memories is no different than applying the same sense to your current memories. If something FEELS incredibly “real” to you, it probably is. If it feels forced, or someone else is trying to convince you of something you are uncertain about, it’s probably not.

At the end of the day, it’s YOUR journey, your spirit and YOUR sense of what matters that counts!

What Is Tamil Numerology?

April 30, 2012 in Astrology

Tamil numerology, like other numerology systems (Chaldean, Pythagorean, etc.) was invented as a means by which to divine a person’s future, discover personality attributes, analyze the vibrational qualities of baby names, read the harmonic patterns of planets and their relationships with each other (astrology), thereby trying to make sense of the fabric of “reality” that we surround ourselves in. Through research, observation and documentation, numerologists have labored to gain a better understanding of the universe and our place in it.

Tamil refers to the Indian state of Tamil Nada. Indian numerology states there are three numbers attached to every person…

  1. The first number is the psychic number. In Tamil numerology, the psychic number refers to the way you see yourself and is calculated using your birth date.
  2. The second number in Tamil numerology is the destiny number. The destiny number tells how the world sees you and is calculated by adding the numbers in your birth date together.
  3. The third number is the name number. The Tamil name number tells of your relationships with others and requires a mathematical calculation based on the sound frequencies of a certain number.

Let’s break down the number 6, just for an example…

In Indian numerology, the Name Number 6 is a nurturing and supportive number, centering on the home. As a Psychic Number, 6 is a wonderful, loving number, meaning sympathetic and nurturing friend. 6 in Tamil numerology is warm, luxurious and sexy at times, adored by all. If you have a 6 for a psychic number, you tend to be very family-focused, open-minded and welcoming. From a Destiny Number, the theme is the same: much love on the home front, both for family and for the more material comforts. You love beauty and you love to have elegant things around you. You craft a home-not decorate a house-and indeed, home is where your heart is.

On the downside, you may not be that smart with money, being generous to a fault. You may find yourself giving too much of yourself at times when it might be wiser to let that friend or family member fully experience the lesson life has for them. You may be sensitive to critique and–as a 6–you may worry too much or spend more time alone than other numbers.

People who have a 6 for their Psychic Number may find discipline to be their lesson this life. As caretakers and lovers of beauty, they make for great doctors, nurses, psychologists, social workers, art gallery owners, photographers, artists and writers.

Make sense?

Indian numerology also involves Vedic squares, which show numerous geometric patterns and symmetries, some of which can be found in traditional Islamic art.

It is believed the origins of numerology date back over 10,000 years, however no one knows exactly where or when the art of numerology was first started. Evidence and claims point to a diverse collection of possible origins, from Egypt to India, and from Babylon to Japan. Eventually, however, numerology would become prominent in Greece, made popular first by a Grecian named Pythagoras, the great mathematician and philosopher.

When I first began pulling together some of this information, I was shocked at how little numerology resources for Tamil numerology there were online. I will continue to research this and share what I discover here. Hope you enjoyed this walk through numerology history!

Other views on 2012

There are many controversies with the year 2012. The year is marked as the end of time by the Mayan culture. Though, the Hindu scriptures depict a different picture. As per the Hindu culture, Lord Krishna marked this time as the end of Kali Yuga and he said that the Golden Age will come at the end of the same era. We can experience the Golden Age in 2012. The other view of the Mayan culture also says that the year 2012 will be the Golden Age. What surprises is the fact that the Mayan culture and the Hindu culture did not have any connection in between.

The Chinese culture has symbolized the year 2012 as the year of the Dragon. In this culture the dragon is considered auspicious unlike the western culture. So we are in front of dual thinking. The year can be a Golden Age, it can be auspicious again it can be the end of the world.

Scientists and scholars are researching on the topic but time will prove if 2012 can mark the end of time.

Zodiac role in 2012

The moon lies in the seventh place and Jupiter is in an alignment with Mars. The sign Aquarius is ruled by Uranus and the symbol represents water. As per astrology the year 2012 is the year for Aquarius zodiac. So, we can hope for the best to happen in 2012 and let us not panic if the year will bring an end to all existence.

The reason behind the anxiety of 2012

The 2012 yearly calendar has not marked the end of the world yet. But many believe that the end is not too far. There are few specific reasons for the same:

The believer of this theory says that the pole shift, geomagnetic reversal or the solar storm will destroy the world

On the contrary the oppositions say that these things like pole shift, geomagnetic reversal or the solar storm will not happen and they cannot destroy the world.

The anxiety will remain and we have to wait till December 2012 to see what exactly follows.

Understanding Your Destiny Through Bazi

April 30, 2012 in Astrology

Bazi is one of two systems of Chinese astrology borne of the Chinese’s fascination with the subject of destiny and their desire to understand man’s purpose in life and the path he has to take to fulfill this purpose. Through Ba Zi, a person can be better equipped to navigate his trek through life.

Thousands of years before “Self Help” books weighed down bookstore shelves, the ancient Chinese already devised ways to help man understand and improve himself and appreciate his uniqueness. A person’s Bazi, or Destiny Code, is a system the Chinese designed to help answer man’s questions about who he is, what his purpose is, and what he must do to get to his destination.

Bazi is short for “Sheng Chn Ba Z,” which translates to “The Eight Characters of Birth Time.” The Chinese phrase is also referred to as the study of the “Four Pillars of Life.” The shortened term, Bazi or “Four Pillars,” refers to the four pairs of characters that make up a person’s birth time: year, month, day, and hour. The four pairs of characters, in turn, make up the eight characters referred to in the translation, “The Eight Characters of Birth Time.”

The eight characters also stand for variations of yin and yang in the Five Elements, namely: yin wood and yang wood; yin fire and yang fire; yin earth and yang earth; yin metal and yang metal; and yin water and yang water. Using the eight characters that make up an individual’s birth time, the elements that prevailed during the time of a person’s birth can be calculated and his Eight Character Bazi chart can be derived. This chart represents a person’s unique Destiny Code, akin to his genetic code but in a metaphysical context, and it provides complete information about an individual’s personality, potential, and destiny. Much like a person’s genetic code, his Eight Character Bazi chart encodes his characteristics, abilities, ordeals, wealth, successes, and other elements of his life.

A Bazi consultant uses the chart to ascertain an individual’s, luck cycle, potential, meaning, and favorable and unfavorable years, among many others. A Bazi consultant uses the chart the same way a geneticist uses the genetic code to find out a person’s many traits and susceptibility to diseases.

Analyzing and understanding the combination of these eight characters also help determine how a person can use and maximize his potential and success, help control emotions, and aid in decision making. Through Bazi, future events can also be calculated and a person can better prepare for them.

Bazi is often used with the practice of feng shui. Bazi and feng shui complement each other. Feng shui masters often use Bazi or another system of Destiny Analysis to aid them in their reading. In fact, understanding a person’s Bazi is an important component and prerequisite of any feng shui reading. Formulating and analyzing a person’s Bazi chart will help a feng shui master determine the particular elements in his life that need improvement, which ones can help maximize his potential, and which ones to eliminate. Feng shui, being a goal-oriented system, involves learning about a person’s specific goals and the obstacles that keep him from reaching those goals. When a person is uncertain about what is keeping him from his goal, his Destiny Code will be used by the feng shui master.

Bazi serves as a map of a person’s personality and life; fengh shui serves as a tool to help one overcome the obstacles along the way. If, for example, your Bazi indicates that you easily get mad and, as a result, you find it difficult to get along with others, a feng shui master will recommend that you wear a certain precious stone to counteract your tendencies towards anger. Once this problem is addressed, you can then focus on fulfilling your potential and goals.

It is important to remember, however, that while feng shui can help an individual manipulate his environment to maximize the benefits of qi that flows all around him towards the attainment of his goals, he must first have the apposite Destiny. In other words, feng shui can help you become a multi-billionaire, but only if becoming one is already encoded in your Destiny Chart and only if the good qi necessary to reach that goal is available for you to tap into.

One must not also forget that feng shui and Ba Zi are merely guides, albeit very useful ones, that can help one’s journey smoother through preparation for all possible outcomes. While a person’s Bazi may not provide the Destiny one desires, in which case any feng shui enhancements are essentially pointless, simply having the knowledge of how the winds will be blowing in the future can help a person be better equipped to steer his boat in the right direction.

While Bazi represents a person’s destiny, it should be seen as a self-fulfilling prophecy that limits what a person can achieve. Through Bazi, one can learn what hand he is dealt with and with this information, he can play that hand the best way he can, to get the most out of it that he can. Bazi shows a person his limitations but it also shows him all the strengths he possesses in order to take advantage of all the opportunities that also lay ahead of him.

Bazi shows a person’s potential and helps him make more informed decisions so that he can put all his effort into pursuing something that his cards show is meant for him achieve instead of wasting his time doing something that he’s not meant to succeed in. Through Bazi, one can learn what dreams to go after and when to go after them.

Tarot History – Uses of Tarot in Literature and Psychology

April 30, 2012 in Astrology

Carl Jung (1875-1961), a Freud’s pupil, in his practice as psychoanalyst, noticed that often the psychic state of his patients had a symbolical resonance in the outside world. “It is sometimes difficult to avoid the impression that there is a sort of foreknowledge of the coming series of events”, Jung states in his writings. He elaborated the principle of synchronicity to explain meaningful coincidences. Synchronicity is defined as the observation of various events that, although apparently unrelated, occur together in a meaningful way. Jung, changed tarot cards history when he started researching ancient divination tools as the tarot, the Chinese I Ching and astrology.

These traditional instruments, taking a picture of the moment, allow us to take in intuitively the gist of the situation we are living. He believed that the choice of a tarot card was guided by the need to express an unconscious urge that had to be manifested in the exterior world in that precise moment. The apparently random choice of a card in a given moment becomes the inevitable expression of the spacetime continuum. Jung found that tarot cards images derive from the universal archetypes. The Jungian archetypes are common to all humanity and on them each individual builds his own psychological characteristics based on his unique life experiences. Jung used a beautiful image to explain the universal archetypes. The conscious mind is the visible part of an island, the unconscious of the individual is the submerged part of the island and the collective unconscious, common to all humans, is the ocean all around.

In any given spread the tarot cards images that represent the fundamental archetypes, combine to form a meaningful pattern in which we can project our situation. The tarot card interpretation helps unconscious knowledge to surface and reflects the underlying fears and desires that are ignored by the rational mind. In our culture, verbal knowledge overrules the immediate communication of an image but, with tarot cards, we allow our rational minds to sit back and let our non verbal, instinctive knowledge get the lead to gain an intuitive understanding of reality. There is no doubt that we project our unconscious feelings and passions on the objects around us and there is a message in every symbol and a meaning behind every image of the tarot.

At the same time the cards open our eyes on the patterns of human behavior and offer us answers and solutions that we already unconsciously know but we hesitate to bring to a conscious level. The tarot cards images work like a catalyst on our minds and can provide alternative ways of understanding our reality. The process is similar to the Rorschach test where a subject is presented with a series of ambiguous, inkblot images and asked what he or she sees in the images. The responses are then used by a trained psychologist to study the personality characteristics and emotional functioning of the subject. The tarot cards images work like the pictures of the Rorschach test on which we can project the inner workings of our minds. This way, a tarot spread can be used to clarify a decision making process, analyze problems, better relate to our world and ultimately stimulate our intuition and gain a better self-understanding.

Alejandro Jodorowsky, filmmaker, author, play writer, spiritual guru and one of the most influential artists of the psychedelic movement was deeply influenced in his work by the tarot cards and their symbolic meaning. Jodorowsky directed many controversial movies like the Sacred Mountain, El Topo and Santa Sangre. His films are surreal, transgressive and have many reference to the esoteric. His most controversial work is Psychomagic, a technique created and practiced by Jodorowsky to help spiritual healing. Psychomagic blends psychoanalysis, art, tarot and shamanistic practices. The goal of this therapy is to reconcile psychological and somatic conflicts. It relies on the principle that the unconscious mind takes a symbolic act as a fact and therefore a symbolic act can compose also non rational conflicts. Jodorowsky wrote a manual to teach how to read tarot cards that he considers to be “a book in the form of cards, the most important document of the occidental culture”. This eclectic artists has been reading tarot for free every Wednesday for 30 years in a Paris cafè. “I do not charge, I don’t give advice, I don’t speak about the future and I do not read the negative side the cards may show” says the artist. For Jodorowsky the Tarot is a way to be of service to the others and all his work is a kind of path to spiritual and psychological development.
